In my experience if you pay by D.D then the day your DD is taken it will show £0 outstanding in my O2.
If you pay by debit/credit card it can take a few days to update. If you have not had your service suspended or haven't received a text maeessage stating that your payment is overdue then your payment will have been registered against your account.
