Oneplus 2 IMEI not recognised

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi,

I recently purchased a Oneplus 2, and put my seperate o2 sim in. I've noticed that I don't get a 4g connection. I have been on the o2 website, trying to upgrade to 4g. Everything is fine in the setup, until they ask me to give me the IMEI number. When I give it, they claim that they cannot recognise the number. I have used both IMEI numbers on the Oneplus 2 btw. When I log in to my o2, it shows me my IMEI number and the number linked with it. Can someone please help me in sorting this out, or help me find another way to get 4g on my Oneplus 2.

Cheers

Hussain

These are the bands for the two models:

LTE band 1(2100), 2(1900), 4(1700/2100), 5(850), 7(2600), 8(900), 12(700), 17(700) - North America

LTE band 1(2100), 3(1800), 5(850), 7(2600), 8(900), 20(800), 38(2600), 40(2300), 41(2500) - Global model

You will see that only the Global Model supports Band 20(800) so is the ony one that will work everywhere with O2 4G.

What spec is the phone as there are 2 versions and one of them doesn't cover o2 4g frequencies so if you have that one it will never work.

If it is the correct Oneplus 2... then have you got a 4G sim?

Also check your network here http://status.o2.co.uk/

The LTE setting is turned in in my Oneplus 2. On my tariff it says I have 4GB of 4g, yet when I use data the top only says "H". The coverage is supposed to be good in my area. When I try to get o2 4g on the website, it says it needs my IMEI to know if my phone is compatible, yet it won't recognise it yet on my o2 it recognises it.

Speak to customer service to make sure you have 4G activated on your account then there is no need for the set up online.

Just tell me the model number. There is no need to use the online set up at all.

If you are sure your sim is 4G then you need to contact customer services http://www.o2.co.uk/contactus

They may send you a new one just in case @Anonymous
