Lollipop, lollipop, where for art thou lollipop?

I am here, says Lollipop while standing atop a shiny Samsung Galaxy S5!

Okay enough of the ye olde talk – Lollipop means business. If you thought Jellybean was buttery smooth, then you’ve not seen what Lollipop can do. This is a major platform update and isn’t just a collection of minor bug fixes or anything like that… This is a full blown update – new eye candy, new & fresh menus, new features – all while keeping the system running smooth & fluid while keeping your battery life in check too. You can find out here what Lollipop can do > http://www.android.com/versions/lollipop-5-0/

The update is now live via KIES and should be live via OTA update towards the end of the week, so go grab it now and let us know your thoughts on the new update

Your original 150mb update was a bit small for lollipop too wink

Anyone able to set time based interruptions after the 2nd update? This is my main gripe with lollipop thus far, plus I'm noticing battery drains quicker than before both lollipop updates.

Plus, anyone know what bugs were supposedly fixed with the 2nd update?

Might be a simple question to answer...but with the new notifications, I just feel like it's very iOS-y - I've just left Apple for Samsung and didn't really want the notification cards on the lock screen!!

I liked how before Lollipop, I'd get a notification on my phone and it would show those tiny icons in the top left of the  screen - these have disappeared from the lock screen and I can only see them if I unlock my phone? Is there a way to get them back onto the lock screen as well without having the notification cards across the entire lock screen?

I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 if it helps...

Mehreen, yes you can turn off the notifications if you prefer, go into 'Sound and Notifications' via settings and click on 'While locked'.  From there select the 'do not show notifications'.

Vince - yes I've tried this and it does stop the notifications showing up centrally on the lock screen but wondered if there was any way of getting back the small notification icons on the top left of the lock screen?

Unfortunately I dont believe so as the new way of bringing up the notifications replaces this. But you never know one of the future upgrades (5.1 is already being released on the Nexus) may address this issue for you.
