Help with Samsung1874

Anonymous
Not applicable

I have neglected to delete a ton of old text messages on my Samsung A3 and I think I have overloaded, with the result that the device is now not allowing me to delete. I am also no longer receiving the audible alert signal for incoming texts. I am reluctant to return to factory settings and risk losoing valuable content such as photos and contacts. Can anyone advise me how to resolve please

Your photos and contacts should both be backed up to Google anyway.
Contacts https://contacts.google.com/
Photos https://photos.google.com/?pageId=none
Check to make sure you have them then factory reset it but delete your Google account first from the phone.

Hi @Anonymous have you tried backing up your phone then doing a restore? Maybe another Samsung expert in this forum could help more @jonsie @MI5 @Cleoriff

Hi @Anonymous I've never had this problem. I just open the messaging app and delete in blocks of conversations. Maybe this will help
