just recently got this phone and no notifications show on my lock screen ex.. fb whatsapp messenger etc.. anyone know how to fix this?

Not if your lock screen doesn't support them.
Have you got a choice of lock screen styles?

I guess it will have to be an app then as you've tried all the settings.

Try app icon to show it's settings then notification and app icons and set to show maybe

Huawei are extremely strict on what they allow to run in the background.

To get around the no notifications,

Go Settings, Battery, App Launch and disable automatic battery management next to each app you want to run in the background. Facebook, Messenger etc.
