The wi fi is not working on my HTC desire. When I click wifi it does not pick anything up and the current signal does not appear in the list. this occurs at home and in other placves where other people are recieving a good wi fi sigan. At fist the signal bar greyed out; now there is nothing. any ideas? thanks.

Just one suggestion, not sure if it will help. Try removing the battery for a few minutes and whilst you have the cover off, clean the back cover as the wifi antenna is located on the cover on the Desire.

Hi,
If the hard reset does not work how long have you had the phone ?
If more than 14 working days then you cannot return it to O2 for a replacement, only repair so then I would suggest you approach HTC for support.
