How do I stop paying for Google Play every month on my phone bill? Have googled it and when I follow the instructions Google Play says I have no subscription with them with that account. What do I do??? Can think of better things to spend my £9.99 a month on!!!!

You need to find out what it is that you are paying each month for.
Spotify is £9.99 a month for example. Is it that?
Once you have found out the service that is billing you, you can take the steps to unsubscribe from it.
