Google apps update issue

OK, get your heads round this problem......

On mobile data I can download and update apps.

On wifi I can download but cannot update apps.

Everything else works fine on wifi and this is the same across 3 devices, all are on the same Google account and I've tried deleting the Google account, clearing cache and data in Google Play Store, play services and download manager, but still the same....

It can't be a Google issue because it works on mobile data. It can't be a phone issue because it's the same on 3 different devices, and it can't be a wifi issue because everything elseworks fine....

This only started yesterday so who do I moan at to get something changed to fix it....?

That would be my guess, maybe try rebooting the router or checking the settings but I would presume you have done that already...

I will but I fear this will be a Virgin issue (and you can guess how the conversation with CS will go) 😞

You've probably already done this, but I Googled it and found these links. Don't know if they'll be of any use:

I'll keep looking

It was set to "Low" by default.
The different levels are listed here http://help.virginmedia.com/system/selfservice.controller?CMD=VIEW_ARTICLE&ARTICLE_ID=12483&CURRENT_...
The only difference is SPI which is described here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stateful_firewall

I had a feeling it had to be something with the firewall settings. I'll check mine later to see what it's set at. Might be as well to see if Virgin will replace it?
