Hi

Ive notcied that the Galaxy Ace 2 has a firmware update and can be updated to Jellybean 4.1

But when I connect my phone to Kies it says that my version (gingerbread 2.3.6) is the latest.

How do i upgrade the firware?

Samsung have got a beta release out which is been tested currently so I would expect it sometime in April for unlocked / unbranded phones. If you have an O2 phone you will have to wait additional time for O2 to release it after further testing.....

You can't yet until the firmware is released to match your handset. When it's available Kies will upgrade you.

Carphone Warehouse are advertising the Galaxy Ace 2 with the new Firmware so obvioulsy it is released and availabe for the phone but waiting for O2 to add their Logo etc to the Firmware before release via Kies.

It's now 5th August. My wife's Ace 2 was updated to Jellybean over a month ago by her provider.

WHY are O2 dragging their feet on this service?

When will they update us?

Kies is telling me I can upgrade my ace 2. Is it ok to do so or is it better to wait for O2
