If possible, remove battery immediately, then dry any fluid off the outside of the phone before putting it into a bag of rice, sealed, and put the bag in an airing cupboard or on top of a radiator.
Leave it for at least a week before attempting to turn it back on.
Did the tea have sugar in it?

I wouldn't drink the tea......there are some quite hazardous materials in mobile phones.

Keep in warm place like an airing cupboard whilst submerged in dry rice which may dry it out.

Other than that, trying praying and keeping everything crossed!

Good luck

Turn it off, if it was on, or don't turn it on if it was off. It's most likely you don't have a working phone any more. Some insurance policies cover water damage, but not many. What phone is it? Do you have insurance? You can try the rice method, but don't count on it solving the problem.

And if it had milk in it, then the fat coats everything very nicely

I find teaspoons much easier to stir in milk and/or sugar.

However if pushed or in short supply, I've found tv remote controls to be a better substitute.
