Used to be connected to home wifi with no problems.

Went away for 24 hours and now cant connect at all

Can connect to other usual ones and people can connect to my home one.

Tried resetting router, tried removing battery, tried a soft re-set, cant connect long enough to wifi to "forget" it

Need help and dont fancy a factory re-set.....................

I use a Samsung Galaxy Young

Hi

Occasionally turning the phone off and battery pull (phone model dependant) and turn the phone back on clears lots of glitches, so maybe try that again.

Try choosing a different wireless channel number too in the router settings.

A Google search has thrown up a few help threads.

Hi

Forgetting the network is as you know one of the generic solutions to help with wifi issues.

Did you make any changes or perform any firmware updates in the time you didn't connect to your home wifi.

If so then a hard reset sometimes does help to clear out old files. Making a back up is essential as not to lose your saved data.

I dont recall any updates at all - was just out of range, linked to another wifi - and then I switched it off to save battery as I wasnt in range for any ones I usually use.

When I switched it back on at home was when the problems started!

A conundrum.

Hopefully your phone will allow you to forget the wifi network so you can start again or try what I've suggested and try google again.

Or as that last resort the Hard Reset.

Good luck.

You don't need to be connected to the wifi hotspot to forget it.
Just press and hold on the name of the one you want to delete.
If your phone is still seeing your wifi OK you should be able to reconnect to it OK after that.

Have you tried rebooting your router? That sometimes clears glitches like this.
