When I dropped mine in a sink full of water...took the back off...battery out, sim out and stuck it in front of a central heating vent.....I then went and ordered a new cheap one from Amazon.. The following day having no hope at all... I put my 'water damaged' one back together...and it worked (and still does)

Mind you...it wasn't a smartphone.... just a Motorola Razr.....

The new phone I returned to Amazon....Whistle
