Can't seem to get Internet

I've had my android  smart phone for nearly a year now and I have been unable to get picture sent or received on my phone and have been unable to use my 3G aswell.. I'm on pay and go and have sent active to 2020 several times. I really need a hand with sorting my phone out, it's becoming unbearable and I can not afford to replace it again as I am a student. Any advise is appreciative.

Thanks for the link but it still doesn't want to work, i've not had much luck with phone my whole life. I think they hate me..

I'm sure if you popped into an O2 store or a Carphone Warehouse or a Phones4U someone would help you get your phone set up properly.
