Can't register on O2 network

Anonymous
Not applicable

I have been trying to connect to o2 for a whole 24 hours now...

My coveracge area is fine (2G/3G perfect signal)

My phone is a new Galaxy S4 mini working fine here since August 2013 - why the sudden loss of network?

Sim is fine.

Phone not dropped

Was not in a different country

Did not switch network...

Have researched and have selected 2G/3G in networks on advice from a thread.

Any ideas what the problem is? Driving me crazy!

O2 chat busy last night so haev not spoken to an operator yet...

OP - does your sim work in a different handset?  YES - your phone is knackered (either barred/broken etc) NO - Your sim card is (get a new one instore or call to have one sent to you).

Do you have any service at all or is it just the data connection that you are trying to get?

Check for any local faults http://status.o2.co.uk/

No coverage at all - can only access wifi as a form of communication

As above, I  did the area coverage checker to rule that out... so bizarre!

Any advice?

I am wondering what I pay my bill for as no one has answered me and I can;t use my phone! ! (to receive or send calls / text / data)

help!

You won't get O2 to answer you here - we're just other customers.
Have you tried your sim in another phone?
Does it work?
Is the phone yours from new or purchased off ebay or similar ?
Has it been barred?
So many variables but you need to give us all the detail to be able to help you.
