Can't register on O2 network

Anonymous
Not applicable

I have been trying to connect to o2 for a whole 24 hours now...

My coveracge area is fine (2G/3G perfect signal)

My phone is a new Galaxy S4 mini working fine here since August 2013 - why the sudden loss of network?

Sim is fine.

Phone not dropped

Was not in a different country

Did not switch network...

Have researched and have selected 2G/3G in networks on advice from a thread.

Any ideas what the problem is? Driving me crazy!

O2 chat busy last night so haev not spoken to an operator yet...

Thanks - brand new Galaxy mini s4 - shop bought

new sim card (Aug 2013 purchased) - shop bought

perfect coverage area.

Think best bet is to call in to the shop i bought it in

Cheers for help

In the store you can at least test the sim in another phone to rule that out.

It's either phone or sim really.

Might be a silly question but the OP says shop bought but places like Argos for example sell payg phones locked to networks.

So is the phone locked to a different network?

They say it's been working fine since Aug 13, so it seems to be a sudden failure which most likely points to SIM card.....

I picked up on "my phone is a ""new"" S4 mini" so wondered if OP had replaced the handset recently but may have been with o2 since Aug 13???

Just trying to find a solution.

Note the Sim card was bought in August but the phone is a BRAND NEW S4 mini so I think OP has brought a new handset recently hence my question is it locked to another network.
