Well it's now 5.20pm on Saturday 21st September, and there is no sign of this yet?

Fair warning there are about 20 apps in the Google Play store all of which are fakes and at best will flood your phone with adverts.

Of course you do...........go for it! Smiley LOLSmiley LOL

Seriously I'm just going to give it a trial, if it seems good I'll get rid of something else.

Installed and connected probably because I registered on their site.

My phone has turned into a Blackberry, is this a problem? Smiley LOL

I had the same window, put in a new email address (not the one I registered with) went through the set up, so I now have another half a dozen bits of log in stuff, and it's now all working.

I had the email last night from BBM saying I could now download the BBM messenger app.

I followed the link & got " This app is not compatible with your device "

What Android version are you on. You need to be on 4.0 or above.

iPhone 14 Pro (O2 ), S23U (EE), iPad Pro LTE (EE), .

Im currently running Android Gingerbread 2.3.4 so I can use the BBC I Player mobile app due to the unique way the BBC is funded there is a known issue for Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc & Arc S running ICS 4.0.3 & 4.0.4 that BBC & Adobe are STILL trying to fix.

Did have a comment from BBC team saying it's still being worked on but I dont really believe them.

As for BBM im not really bothered to be honest as I get free text's anyway & so does SHMBO.

Well, finally all set up on BBM and 'chatted' with a fellow member of the community. Big problem is that I don't know anyone else on BBM! There doesn't seem to be a way of searching your contacts either.

At the moment I fail to see what this app can do that Whatsapp doesn't do already so I will stick with it a week to see if battery performance is affected and then if I find no use for it I will simply uninstall it Smiley Frustrated
