Hi @Annie3kids

Not sure what sort of phone you have, but it sounds as if you may need a new battery (if it can be removed)

Also try gently cleaning the charging port with a cocktail stick or similar. They do tend to get clogged up with fluff.

You could also start deleting apps that you use rarely. Also make sure they are closed down and not running in the background. This is a classic reason for rapidly diminishing battery use

Best of luck and welcome to the forum Welcome

Thank you.

The phone is only 6 months old so I would be very disappointed if it needed a new battery already.  I have checked everything else and no apps running in the background.  It isn't running down too rapidly, but just won't charge up.

This has been a very temperamental phone so will visit the store and see how they can help - I would prefer another phone!

Thank you for your suggestions.

Not good for a 6 month old phone @Annie3kids

I mention about the fluff in the charging port as this happened to be with my Note 3. I was ready to buy a new battery (reluctantly) before I did that I cleaned the charging port, and that worked for me. I had already paid out for a new charger!!. Any fluff or dirt will stop the charger connecting properly.

It is a Samsung Galaxy J3 and I intend to go to the store as soon as it opens and before my battery runs out completely.

@Annie3kids You're more likely to get a better result contacting Samsung support directly. https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/

Many many posts on the forum about O2 repairs leaving much to be desired.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2
