If a phone is still under contract, is it covered by any warranty?
I'm about 15 months into a 24 month contract and the battery life on my O2 supplied Samsung Galaxy SII is hopeless now. It drops steadily from 100% to 25% and then switches off. It barely lasts a day!
Before I start trying to fix it myself I wondered if there is any warranty on the phone itself?

Hi,
I'd be inclined to try a new/replacement battery as you can pick up originals for silly money if you shop around. You may find the P-model battery (which has the NFC component) harder to find and more expensive though. But for £6.50 you'll find out if it's your phone that's the root cause.

For Samsung
Handset = 2 year warranty
Battery = 6 months warranty
Deal with Samsung directly yourself, DON'T let O2 send it away for repair!
