Battery Life - Can It Be Improved

Question for the group.

I have a SG Note 3 which I have had for about 9 months. It was a refurbished device from o2 and has o2 bloatware installed.

Over the months the amount of use I can get from the handset "appears" to have reduced. Typically I am charging it 1.5 to 2 times per day. That said I do hammer it. It gets a lot of use.

So my question is: would getting a new Samsung Original battery improve things or is it just the way it is?

I don't *need* it, I just like it 

But once I was laying on a deck chair in the blazing tropical sun, turned the brightness down to minimum and spent about 20 minutes trying to get it visible again, which was very annoying.

So the improvement on the note 4 comes from better auto adaption, rather than an improvement in the hardware?  That sounds more realistic.

But I still want one.  Does it work with the note 2 multimedia dock?  For hdmi output and usb?

So should I try the flash route to core to see if things improve our just accept it until such time as the Note 4 becomes more affordable?

I know it's my choice Rich but your opinion?

59% for me 

I have three email account syncs, no social networking or any of that, but I am using the web browser interactively all the time, plus sms and at times the wifi hotspot.
