I have a new Samsung Phone from O2,

Put in old sim from old Galaxy - with simple password

I am blocked from startup by request for BACKUP PASSWORD

 

I have tried PUK and O2 website password and my old Sim password.  Nothing is working.

 

What next?

Get a new sim and do a sim swap.
In store will do it while you wait.

Maybe it's asking for your Google account password?

Could be anything.
Maybe a sim pin code was set previously, maybe new sim is blocked, maybe phone is locked.....?
So many variables and so little to go on....?
