Hi,
My application for new contract phone was rejected based on Credit history. My credit history is very good and there is no reason why should my application rejected. This is very frustring since no one from O2 is able to help me in this.
Can anyone please suggest me what needs to be done. Orange and 3 mobiles providers are happy to give me contract phone.
Kind Regards
Misba

It is sad that no one from O2 is willing to talk about issue and try to resolve it. Similar incident happend last 3 years back and I went with Orange. I think I have to do same now.

Nobody would discuss a credit application failure with you, you could only ask them to look at it again.

As I recall the ability of credit providers to black list by address was outlawed some years ago and that credit searches could only be made against individuals.
I refer to this as I had been refused credit based on address some years ago and it became a hot topic fairly soon after (not as a result of me or my case I should add).
Yes, you are indeed correct! Your credit worthiness can no longer be linked to previous tenants at an address.
It seems strange that the OP can take out credit cards yet O2 don't even offer the ability to place a deposit down before allowing the contract. Could it be because the OP already has two other contract phones?
