So asked in a webchat when the LG G5 was going to get Oreo OTA release and was advised by a fairly rude guy that it was scheduled for 10th December 2018 in UK (the usual story of it is LG fault not o2 on the lateness of the release, despite the fact that the generic european released was in August)
so here we are 8th Jan 2019 and still no OTA nougat release (yes I know I could have twrp my phone and installed the eu release) just wondering why o2 are so extremely slow with their OTA

Hey there,
So there’s good and bad news for this one. Bad news first, is there’s been an unfortunate and unavoidable delay in the LG software build process which has, as far as we’re aware, impacted other networks too. The good news however is that we approved the Oreo update this morning and we’re hoping you’ll see this become available to download this month, if not in the coming week or so.

Hey there...
The direct O2 update was approved 9th Jan and returned to LG for release, and the open market update was done yesterday (eg, if you bought it from CPW or similar), so you should see the update soon if you've not yet got it.
