4g not working when i have 18gb of data left

Anonymous

I recently changed my tarrif to increase my data to 20gb 3 days ago. All was fine until i get a text saying ive used all my data, being on an s5 i can check my data usage.

Showing under 5gb, spoke to an advisor on the phone and chat who said its an it related issue??

Anyone else had similar issues to this and had them resolved?

Hi @Anonymous So as I understand from your post you have 2 separate issues here....?

1) A text saying you have used all your data when in reality you have only used under 5gb .... The answer to that is probably your new tariff hasn't updated yet so the text is relating to old tariff. It should update itself after 24hrs so check again then...You can look in my O2 to see if your new tariff is showing http://www.o2.co.uk/myo2

2) As for not getting 4G ...try rebooting your phone. If it still persists knock it back to 3G for a while and try again when you are in a full 4G area...

Also check your network status here http://status.o2.co.uk/

It's most likely that with changing tariff you are on a pro rata allowance until your billing date.

Exactly what I was going to say ↑ it'll be down to the pro rata, and your full allowance will kick in at the start of the billing cycle.!

So you can still get 3G but not 4G? If this is the case have you tried in any other 4G areas?

As a last resort just have a look at this help thread about connecting Android phone to data services...
