Hi all why can't I get 4g on my SAMSUNG S4 I have a new sim
I'm in a good coverage area

That is very old EE firmware (4.2.2). You should be on 4.4.2 "FND1" so there is definately an update (or 2) for your phone.

Check that you have enabled 4G in network settings >network mode

Also check in your "My O2" that you have a 4G tariff.

Just so you know in the settings 4g is shown as LTE it's the same thing and that's what needs to be enabled

Thanks I dont have 4g in my settings it reads 2 or 3g auto or 3g only and yes I do have have it as a free bolt on cheers. .

It would seem that you need to do a firmware update.

Check in settings >About device for an update or plug phone into Kies.

If it's new it can take up to 24 hours to properly register maybe that's the issue.
