Returned from Japan a week ago after 3 weeks, only to find that we had racked up £73 of charges on our two O2 Business accounts. My wife made the mistake of texting me on messaging simple messages such as lost, where are you, etc. O2 charged £7.50 a day for that. No empathy from customer services, or an acknowledgement that these charges are extortionate.

Seems you are blaming your wife and blaming O2. You're in business so maybe you should have checked.
Still, at least the charges are tax deductible
