Hi everyone!

We've seen a few comments here on the forum occasionally around Airtime Rewards, and thought some more information about it would be helpful to share in case you're not all yet familiar with this awesome service. 

 

What is Airtime Rewards?

It's a unique retailer rewards programme which aims to take the cost out of owning a smartphone by rewarding members with discounts on their mobile bills! You can earn rewards through shopping with retailer partners, in-store and online, using the payment cards linked to your Airtime Rewards account.

How do I qualify? How do I download the app? What shops are eligible?

The app will work if you're on Pay Monthly, Pay as You Go, or Business (although for Business it's a slightly different process upon claiming the reward). You can download the app on the Airtime Rewards website. Setting up your account is very easy:

1. Download the APP
2. Register your number with one-time verification code
3. Register your 16-digit card number(s)
4. Once you shop in the qualifying retailers you start to generate a rewards balance. Once it hits £5+ you can redeem it towards your next O2 mobile bill.

Note also that O2 customers exclusively earn a £3 bonus on first purchase. 

Once you've downloaded the app, you can see which retailers near your location are eligible.

@TallTrees and all, I found a full list of their partners on the Airtime Rewards website press kit page, I'll paste them here, so the app (at the time of writing this at least) seems to work when shopping at the following places. When you've signed up to the app, it will also show you a list of what retailers are nearby to where you are.

I do shop at Waitrose Argos & B&Q

I spread my shop between Lidl Tesco Asda and Waitrose.

I like Argos and DIY at B&Q

so should fit in.

Awesome, great to hear that your regular shops are on the list. Let us know what you think of the app if you end up trying it out!

According to their FAQ page they add new retailers every month so the list above is just guidance - it's best to check once you have the app, in the Retailers section, what's available.

I  am on Airtime Rewards. Now they don't credit my bill as I'm on a Business contract. But what they do instead is give me an e-voucher for Waitrose which, as I shop regularly with Waitrose, is very useful. I've been with them since last October and have earned nearly £90.

They have quite a selection of retailers and are always adding more. Happy I joined.

I have a contract through a 3rd party @Cleoriff and it works for me.
Currently have earned £4.37 with another £0.50 pending. Woo!!

I have savings from Farmhouse Inn and Halfords, but will start using Argos, B&Q and Pizza Hut I think...

I also use Middlemarch Farm (Farmhouse Inns)....so that will be very useful @gmarkj
