Good Afternoon 

I have recently contacted 02 and been told that because I have done my contract through virgin media I have a 42 day cancellation fee and is that true

If you have signed up to volt then yes you have a 30 day cancellation period, as per any contract, and Virgin will also possibly downgrade your broadband and increase your monthly charge to them.

As its a contract if you cancel outside the 14 days then you will have to pay termination fees to both o2 and Virgin.

This is not customer services and we dont have access to your account
I do not work for o2 or any VMo2 /Telefonica/Liberty Global Company
