Bad Customer Service

I joined Virgin 3 weeks ago, with package came an 02 Sim card. Brought old number with me. No problem. 


Well until I tried to check my account details and nothing exists. 

Up to now have an account number. 

3 billing numbers. 

2 direct debits set up by O2. I have cancelled one. 

Turns out 02, have somehow got the wrong email address. Don't know how. 

Could be info virgin media?

Could be the fact decades ago I was an O2 customer, which means my email address still on system?

O2 cannot link account information. 

Sent tech department request to change email address. Could take 5-10 days. Why?

They have taken payments from bank. Said they would send copy of bill. As yet still waiting. 

Are they sending info to incorrect email address? Therefore breaking the rules of data protection. 

Has anyone had this problem? 

How long does it take to sort it?

Any hints on how to get through by phone without waiting for reply listening to boring music for ages? Sure they do it so people hang up.

Staff don't seem to be confident they can put the problem right. 

Week on since first request send to change email. No contact from O2.
