Not sure when it started as I don't actually make that many calls, but while i can send and receive text messages, if i try and ring my number it says 'it has not been possible to connect your call' and when i try and ring out, it is just silence.. i can use Wifi and 4G data is working fine too - well as well as it ever works in my house.. it must be an o2 thing not the phone surely?

Ok this is really borked up, I did a full system restore and it didn't work, then i finished setting up google and said 'hey google, call home', and the phone worked, it rang my home number... but now, 20 minutes later its not working for phone calls again. i'm going to go for a drive and see if it works somewhere else, maybe it is the local cell coverage...

yes, i did do that, it just said and still does "
Our Network can get busy in this area.
This means your data could be slower than normal. We’re sorry about that. Our team is aware and working to make it better. Our top tips for staying connected would be to find local Wifi hotspots and download whatever content you need whilst connected to Wifi, so you can still enjoy it on the move."

If you get calls in a different area you can use the My Network app to report the issue in your are. If not, it's back to a phone repair.
