I was told my old number would port to o2 yesterday but it still hasn't happened and I have had no correspondence

You will get a text message to the number you are keeping confirming the date of the port @Gogzy100
If you have not had that then it is not going through yet.
Follow the instructions in this guide:
Guide: Migration & porting into O2
If you DID get a text, and then the porting didn't happen you need to contact customer services to see what's going on.
Either call 202 from a pay monthly o2 phone, or 0344 809 0202 from another phone.
Alternatively you can call 0800 902 0217 using Skype (which is free).

Finally try messaging on social media:
Facebook ( https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter ( https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram ( https://o2uk.co/O2CIG)
Best time to call is 8am
