Why is o2 live chat never available?
I have recently received a bill far higher than my stated contract and
I hate talking on the phone as I have a stutter, and live chat makes things easier for me.
Times listed are 8am to 8pm, but always says 'Live chat is not available right now'.

If you have one (or more), then o2 are on social media @just-me
Try messaging them on there:

I don't think Live Chat takes high priority and is only operated when customer service staff is available
@just-me You say your bill was higher than usual. That should be something you could check out in My O2
Also remember there is a 17.3% price rise effective from your first bill after April 1st...

Welcome to the o2 Community forum
I understand about social media but it could be useful for you easy to join one of them for o2 query you don't need to use it much. I probably wouldn't recommend using o2 CHAT anyway for your query.
