cannot receive text messages after upgrade to S20 5G

I have upgraded from S9 to S20 which I had to sim swap. I cannot receive text messages
I have tried restarting the phone
most of my apps require a verification code to be send by SMS which I cannot receive

please help

Texting is the last service to be provioned to your sim and can take up to 24 hours to be completed

Has yours been sorted yet as I'm having the exact problem same phones. Been over 24hrs

Numerous people are having the same problem with the S20.

Your only option is to call O2
