WiFi Calling Pixel 7 Pro

Hi, I have Pixel 7 Pro. WiFi calling is enabled (and does work) however it appears to only come on if I toggle Airplane mode on and off. It doesn't seem to automatically enable itself when signal is dropped (I just get 'no service')

This is particularly annoying as I get no phone reception in my house and therefore rely on WiFi calling a lot. Not had this issue on my last phone (OnePlus 7).

I posted about this on Google forum and they suggest I connected network operator so I have come here for advice. Anyone seen similar behaviour? Obviously having to toggle Airplane mode isn't really an acceptable long term solution.

So since the March '23 update my phone appears to now be behaving. I've not noticed any time in last 2 days at home it's had no service and WiFi calling has been enabled the whole time. I've been in and out the house a couple of times, which normally would trigger the no service when I come back into the house and it's switched to WiFi calling every time. 

Fingers crossed that's it fixed!

My operator settings have also  been updated.

I'm also on the beta for Google Carrier Services. Not sure if that has also helped.

My Operator settings version is dated 13th Aug 2022. Hopefully a new one will be along soon.

Same version on my Pixel 6a, @benjnicholls - not that the operator settings mean much, the Build number, TQA.230205.003 is what I expect to see changed...

Got a new Android version today and WiFi calling has been connected all day. Fingers crossed it stays that way.

Build number after update a few days ago to TQ2A.230305.008.E1 on a 6a, @benjnicholls - not actively using WiFi calling as O2 signal good generally in local area.

I have the exact same issue. Airplane mode on with wifi enabled seems to get it working. As you say, it not an acceptable long term solution
