Just purchased a sim to use abroad fo data, registered sim and works in phone. I need to use it in my wi fi box to use as a mobile wi fi but doesn’t work, wi fi box recognises sim but showing no internet connection

O2 SIMs for router devices and for phones are not the same, @NEILAH

Whilst a mobile SIM may work in the WiFi device initially, it will be unreliable in the long run.

If you bought the right SIM, it may be the WiFi box's APN needs to be changed to the O2 APN.

You can only use a data only sim in a router and these do not work abroad anyway.

O2 is the wrong choice for your needs.
