I phoned on 1 September and was promised an unlatch code would be sent to me between 72 hours and 7 days. It hasn’t arrived. My contract with O2 has now ended

please send me the code so that I can use my new Virgin SIM

We are not O2, just customers like yourself.

You will need to pester O2.

I'm surprised you Virgin SIM requires a code, them being one and the same.

Has Virgin activated your SIM?

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

OK sorry, I tried to use that Chat and ended up here… that’s customer service

Basically O2 and Virgin are still very much separate. Virgin couldn’t unlatch my phone and took weeks to release my account due to not sharing proof of ID between their departments. I’ve proved that the new SIM works in a different phone. O2 promised as per my OP and now I can’t call them via my phone as the contract has expired…
