I’m out in Australia, Can’t make/receive calls. I need to contact a relative as a family matter has occurred- I have tried a local eSIM- still nothing.

  • Make sure you have roaming activated on the phone
  •   Reboot phone.
  •   Manually search for a different network
  •   If using an iPhone, change data APN to  mobile.o2.co.uk
  •   Call customer service to check for any roaming bars
  •   Or if you message O2 using the social media links below, they should be able to help you with this

Seems strange if even a local sim is not connecting to an Australian network

@Spock If the local sim you purchased isn't working that's not an O2 issue.

If the family member in the UK you're trying to contact has WhatsApp you can try calling over a Wi-Fi connection, which would be free. Alternatively, you could try contacting them using Facebook Messenger, which wouldn't require either of you to use a phone.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2
