I just swapped to EE and want to keep my phone number so added the PAC number. EE are sending the new Sim shortly.

Do I need to do anything to cancel my contract with O2 or does it automatically end when the phone number swaps over to EE?

Your contract ends automatically when your number is ported to EE

It's advisable not to cancel any direct debit until the final bill has been paid

It's normal for O2 to sell any debt (even as little as £5) to a collection agency and impact your credit file for 6 years

Thank you, so I should just leave it and let it sort itself out then?

Yes you don't actually need to do anything more than you have done
