EMails I sent through my tethered O2 pjone to gmail accounts are being rejected with the error:

SMTP error from remote server for TEXT command, host: gmail-smtp-in.l.google.com (108.177.126.26) reason: 550-5.7.26 This mail is unauthenticated, which poses a security risk to th e
550-5.7.26 sender and Gmail users, and has been blocked. The sender must
550-5.7.26 authenticate with at least one of SPF or DKIM. For this message ,
550-5.7.26 DKIM checks did not pass and SPF check for [*******.co.uk] di d not
550-5.7.26 pass with ip: [***.***.***.***].

SPF and DKIM is nothing to do with o2, you need to set them up in DNS related to your domain..

You will need to speak to your email provider or domain host to understand how to set this up.

You will also need to ensure DMARC is setup.

I am hoping to set up SPF for emails. I have fibre broadband with an ISP that is living in the dark ages and "does not support SPF". Does anyone know the server details if I send my emails through O2 mobile broadband?

It's incorrect to say SPF is nothing to do with O2. O2's email server details are required to set it up.

SPF is based on mail server infrastructure and has nothing to do with o2, it means sender protection framework and is done to verify the mail server is allowed to relay mail for the domain.

It is a DNS setting, usually a TXT record , that starts "v=spf1" and has either FQDN's or IP addresses.

Example SPF: v=spf1 ip4:192.168.0.0/16 include:_spf.google.com ~all

I don't know what your email server details would be that is one for either your hosting provider or ISP and nor do o2 offer any email servers.

I will repeat SPF HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH O2 or ANY ISP..

There's no need to shout or repeat. The email server that I am seeking details for is smtp.o2.co.uk.

Wow that takes me back to my youth!

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.
