Hi @Nick2500

Activating your sim

New Pay Monthly customers

If you’re using a plastic sim, your sim is ready to use straightaway. Just pop it in your device and you're good to go. If you’re using an eSIM, you’ll just need to download the eSIM profile to your device, using the QR code in your eSIM pack.

New Pay As You Go customers

If you have a Pay As You Go plastic sim, you’ll need to put it in your device and then top up to activate it.

Existing Pay Monthly customers

  1. If you don’t have your current sim, or it’s no longer working, either put the new plastic sim into your device or download the new eSIM profile to your device. If your device connects to our network, you can start using your new sim straightaway.
  2. If your device doesn’t connect to our network, call us from a landline and we’ll help. You’ll need to confirm your identity, so we can protect against fraud.

If you need help you can pop instore with ID or contact O2 on social media

@Nick2500 Call 0344 809 0202 or 0800 032 1402 from any phone or numbers here: Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support
When it comes to the reason you are calling, stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.
Press 2 for Everything Else
Press 5 for More Options
Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to someone.
Say 'Upgrade', 'Lost/Stolen', or 'Fraud' if the suggestion above doesn't get you through.
Best time to call is 8 am.
You can also reach O2 via social media:
Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB), Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW), or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG)
Or you can call them on 0800 081 0255

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

@Nick2500

Follow @Bambino's advice as there is probably a bar on your account as the phone was stolen. You need to ask them to lift it.

Good luck!

went To branch to be told it’s a known issue with o2 even though they said it would be sorted initially in 15mins then 24hrs. The lack in information is painstaking and the big fob off is worse. I have 186 contracts with o2 and will seriously consider moving after this. We have to run our businesses on facts. Try it o2 instead of just fobbing people off and annoying them to making them leave you. Luckily Vodafone sorted our other phones we lost instantly.

Hi @Nick2500 - It can take up to 48 hours normally for your account to be restored if it was suspended. This process does not run at weekends - and this one is a bank-holiday weekend - looks like you will be out of luck, until Tuesday.

You will need to call payment management in the morning.

The number to call is 0800 902 0217

Good luck!
