I recently moved to O2 and brought my phone number with me but in settings (a) the sim phone number shows and (b) another message saying my number is registered to my Appleid but not associated with the device and will expire in 20 days.  Help - do i do?

If the number is correct in settings >phone >my number try logging out of your apple ID and back in again.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

This is a known bug with Apple and the following is taken from their Support Forum

  1. Go to Settings > Messages and turn off iMessage.
  2. Go to Settings > FaceTime and turn off FaceTime.
  3. Restart your device:

4. Turn iMessage and FaceTime back on.

It should work itself out, before the expiry date...

If it shows no sign its one for Apple Support to help with.
