I'm not stupid, but I want to know how this works, please.

Every month I get a txt message:

Mr_Alan_0-1745748413096.png

I laboriously type in the URL and get the log-in page. I turn off the Wi-Fi because that is what it says; nothing happens. So I refresh the browser. The browser says "NO INTERNET."

Then it sounds like your phone is not connected to mobile data.

What make and model is it?

As you are ex PUFFL you should have 500mb

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

Also, you don't need to type the URL @Mr_Alan

Just tap the link in the text.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
Please select the post that helped you best and mark as the solution. This helps other members in resolving their issues faster. Thank you.

"it sounds like your phone is not connected to mobile data." - Where in the message does it say I have to be?

I did say I wasn't stupid. So after going to the URL suggested in the message, I took further steps. I turned off my wi-fi, and switched on mobile Data. Then refreshed the screen. Still, nothing happened. I then also took a further step. I typed in the URL laboriously from the message. The screen asks me to "Sign in to My O2".

Thank you. At first, tapping the URL did not appear to work. But after several attempts, I can confirm that your suggestion does work and takes me to the "Sign in to My O2" page. However, it requires a username and password to log in, contrary to the text message.
