Ongoing Issue with signal and 5G

Hello, Thanks in advance for any advice.

My issue is that for months (like really ages, 9 months or more) my signal and 5G coverage has been awful. Often my phone says 'Emergency calls only' or sometimes it says I do have signal and 5G but NOTHING sends or comes through until i connect to wi-fi. Tried all the tricks like flight mode on/off, restarting etc. Been to O2 shop a few times and they swapped my sim twice but this didn't make a difference.

I've checked the network coverage in my area and it always comes back saying it's fine. I live in a capital city and it historically has excellent coverage everywhere (occasionally it gets bad in super busy areas but that isn't what I'm experiencing here, it's everywhere). My mum is also on O2 and sometimes we are together and she has perfect signal and can send and receive stuff but I have none or nothing comes/goes through.

I have no idea what the issue could be since none of these worked and unfortunately the O2 customer service in-store haven't been super helpful, their training seems to focus on upselling rather than finding helpful solutions which isn't what I'm after, I'm perfectly happy with my handset. I have been with O2 for YEARS and I am usually also very happy with the coverage but it's getting ridiculous to be going on this long, I may as well revert to a brick phone at this point when I leave the house.

Any ideas what the issue could be? The last thing I could think is an issue with the actual handset but I've no idea what that issue could be? I have a Samsung S22 so it's not even a super old phone either.

Many thanks and sorry for the long post - I'm quite frustrated at this point!

@Br4mbl3

From what you've said it would point to a faulty antenna in your phone.

Best way to confirm is to pop your sim into your Mums phone and if that works normal, it's your phone at fault.
