My number was ported from Sky to O2 a couple of weeks ago. Everything works fine - except I now found out that I'm not receiving texts sent from abroad. So I can send texts and also receive texts from UK numbers and make calls to UK and foreign numbers, but any automated texts sent from other countries (for instance from my bank) are no longer being received. They worked fine when my phone was at Sky, so this only started happening after I switched to O2 and my number was ported across.
What can be done? It's been a couple of weeks now. I remember this happening to me some years ago at EE and it took me many weeks to actually get to someone who actually admitted that this was a problem in the system and could fix it for me. All help appreciated as I really need to be able to receive those texts.

O2 are aware of an issue receiving some texts.
We’re just customers like you but it sounds like you’ll need someone to access your account which can’t be done from here. If you message O2 on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this
Thanks

Thank you, I contacted customer service on Twitter and the matter was resolved.
For reference - if anyone else has this issue about not receiving foreign text messages: The problem was that I had a spend cap set up on my account, and supposedly that was preventing me from receiving foreign text messages. Now I don't know why that would be the case, but it was the issue and when the spend cap was removed, the problem got resolved.
