No data or calls when in the EU

I have been using O2 for decades and after purchasing a new phone (iPhone 14 pro max) and unlimited data, whenever I am abroad my data will instantly cut out. I can connect to something abroad but am kicked out within 20 seconds (4 grey bars and then no service). My roaming is on and I am up to date on everything? I have tried to sort this out in store and on the live chat and nothing has happened… Help!!!

These are some tips to try :

  •   Reboot phone.
  •   Manually search for a different network
  •   If using an iPhone, change data apn to  mobile.o2.co.uk
  •   Call customer service to check for any roaming bars
  •   Or if you message O2 using the social media links below, they should be able to help you with this

I’ve tried changing the apn and have tried calling o2 and no bars shown. I am currently in Italy and I cannot call (all calls fail) and no data either

When it comes to the reason you are calling, stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.
Press 2 for Everything Else
Press 5 for More Options
Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to someone.
Say 'Upgrade', 'Lost/Stolen', or 'Fraud' if the suggestion above doesn't get you through.
Best time to call is 8 am.

If calls are failing in Italy, have you got 4G Calling (VoLTE) turned on? There is no 3G fallback there and I've found dropping the call to 2G doesn't always happen

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.
