@SJWB

Some generic things to try:

Check data roaming is on in phone settings.

Manually search for and try other networks - even if flagged as forbidden.

Turn off 5g

Enable 4g calling (if on contract)

Change your data APN to "mobile.o2.co.uk" if not data is being received.

Check with O2 whether you have a roaming bar on your account. Do this via social media

If you message O2 on Facebook ( https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG, they should be able to help.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

@SJWB - of none of the above help, have you reached the monthly roaming limit of 25GB?

Reaching the 25GB data FUP could affect data usage, but shouldn't impact on your phone's ability to get coverage from local network - for voice & text especially. Same for checking "data roaming" - this is merely "using mobile data whilst roaming".

If, by "my coverage has ceased", the OP means they don't have coverage, the issue will not be data settings or config. Much depends here what the actual symptoms are.
