I used my girlfriends phone as a hotspot so I could log in to my O2 account and but a data bolt in but when I bought the add on (using my account details) the data bolt on was sent to her phone (she got the confirmation text). When I looked at the screen on my account, it showed her phone number, but my phone number. What the hell is going on?!

Sorry, lots of typos there but this is an unbelievable security hole that I'm amazed has but been found yet.

@ThisIsPointless

We’re just customers like you but it sounds like you’ll need someone to access your account which can’t be done from here. If you message O2 on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this
Thanks

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
Please select the post that helped you best and mark as the solution. This helps other members in resolving their issues faster. Thank you.

It does sound rather dodgy, but possibly linked to the fact that logging in uses the number that is connecting to the network rather than the account you are logging into (if that makes sense).

Definitely one to flag to customer services (and I'll also mention the community managers so they can feed back too)!

@Martin-O2 @RafaC @Breanna can you raise this rather quickly?

Please note, this is not customer services and we cannot access your account. Do not publish personal details (email, phone number, bank account).

Thanks for flagging this @gmarkj. That's definitely a big one to look at.

@ThisIsPointless Do be sure to get in touch with customer service as @MI5 linked above as well.
