can anyone help with MMS not supported?

i have been sending MMS messages; sent and received photos earlier today. then suddenly they have stopped working; i cannot send or receive them. I am using a samsung s10 pay monthly.

i had this issue when first moving to o2 and had to input the APN settings. these are still there, but i have manually inputted them a few times today. turned the phone off/on a number of times. called o2 and couldnt help but they have logged the issue and someone should get back to me in 3-7 days.

can anyone help?

Do you have a spend cap at all on your account as MMS now cost 83p a Message!!

Have you checked for any updates to Messages on Android as the phone?
Also check out this bit as well:

3. Message App Issues:
  • Clear Data:
In the Messages app's settings, you can clear the app's data. This can sometimes resolve temporary glitches.

  • Restart Phone:
Restarting your phone can resolve many minor issues.

  • Update Messages App:
Ensure your Messages app is up-to-date. Sometimes, an outdated app can cause problems.

  • Uninstall Updates:
If the issue persists after updating, consider uninstalling app updates and then updating again, or uninstalling the app entirely.

This is not customer services and we dont have access to your account
I do not work for o2 or any VMo2 /Telefonica/Liberty Global Company

@Martin258369

I'm not sure if this still works...

Text "ACTIVE" to 2020 to receive your phone's MMS settings.

This text is free to send.

Use WhatsApp, it's free 😉

Thank you,

I do have a spend cap, but i am nowhere near it.

I have installed updates, not in the last few days, but I will try uninstalling the app and reinstalling, happy to try anything just now.

Many Thanks

Thanks Jonsie,

unfortunately that does not seem to work anymore, tried "ACTIVE" and "MMS" to 2020 but it says that 'this service is not live at this current time'

Might need a call to O2 if all else fails @Martin258369

Or pop in store, with photo ID, to see if they can help.
