In Malta and have no phone signal

How do I get a phone signal in Malta. I arrived last night and still don’t have one.

Some things to try:
Manually search for another network
Reboot the phone

Disable 4G Calling if you are Contract (not available to PAYG anyway)
Switch to 4G or even 3G from 5G until you pick up a network (again, no 5G if you are PAYG)
If you have an iPhone change your data APN to "mobile.o2.co.uk"
If still not working then contact O2 to remove the Roaming bar on your account.
