I want to speak to someone over the live chat but every time I select options it puts me into an options screen then tried to help with info and I go round and round never getting into a chat what am I missing

Your best bet is to call, via phone or Skype, @Jamie1314 - numbers in this Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support - calling around now is often the best time.
However, if you do want to talk via web "chat", go to the ordering section of the O2 website - it won't be long before a prompt to chat to someone on the O2 side pops up.

I had a similar problem. Once in the chat window it doesn't display the dropdown options so you can't proceed.
