Hi, I am on a GBP10 monthly pay as you go plan with 7GB of data per month. I have turned on the Hotspot function on my mobile but when connecting to it via my laptop, my laptop says "Unable to connect to network". Do you know why and how to get the hotspot working? Is it being blocked by O2?

I believe PAYG hotspot only works on iPhone.
What phone are you using?

Thank you for your very prompt reply. I have an iPhone 6S and I have also tried the hotspot function on my wife's phone, (she is on the same GBP 10 data Big Bundle plan) and has an iPhone 11. We have tried to hotspot both phones on 3 laptops and an iPad tht we have and none of them can connect to either mobile's hotspot. Very strange.

Thank you again and we are running iOS 14.7.1 so tick, iPhones are newer than 5, so tick. Carrier settings pop does not appear and so cannot see version O2 26.1. Our two mobile phones show Network Provider as O2 46.0, not sure if this is the same a carrier settings.

Yes, that is your carrier setting, so all seems in order in that respect.
Check your apn next.
It should be:
APN : payandgo.o2.co.uk
Username : vertigo
Password : password

Can't think of anything else to check @ChrisB2 sorry.
I'll ask @O2Lisa to check in with you tomorrow to see if she has any more ideas.
